Avonlea Scholarship

We at Avonlea are all for seeing students learn and stretch their leadership qualities. Having leadership qualities will create a path to success in many areas of life, we want to encourage students to be leaders and succeed in every journey they happen to venture into. With that being said, we are so excited to offer incoming and/or currently enrolled in high school and college-aged students a scholarship of $1,000. (all majors can apply)

What do we need from you? 

For a chance to receive the $1,000 scholarship, you will need to submit a 250-500 word essay on leadership. Please choose from one of these three prompts: 

1. Many great leaders are determined and committed to their causes. Write about something that you feel passionately about — and then explain how you could lead/are leading others to also care for your cause.
   
   
2. Though leaders set great examples and work hard to inspire others, they do rely on their teams to succeed. Write about a time when you worked together on a team to achieve something great.
   
   
3. Think of a leader you admire, and list three of the qualities that make him or her a good leader. Which quality do you share with him or her? Which quality could you improve upon?
